AMS Mass Media Fellowships

Americans, the AMS needs YOU!

… to spend ten weeks next Summer in residence at a news outlet honing your communication skills as a Mass Media Fellow.

As part of the Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellowship program organised by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the AMS sponsors a ten-week fellowship each Summer to “increase public understanding of science and technology and enhance coverage of science-related issues in the media”.

They’re looking for senior undergraduates or postgraduates in any sciencey subject who have excellent written and oral communication skills and a burning desire to tell the world about maths. If you were shocked by how I just described you exactly, have a look at the AMS’s page with all the details about how to apply.
